On November 11, 2023, at around 5:40pm, a male (victim) while near TWP 394 and highway 12, located in a farmers field, was approached by an unknown grey newer model dodge truck with one burnt out head light. Two suspects exited the vehicle and approached the victim who was inside his own vehicle. One suspect with a red balaclava opened the drivers side door of the victims vehicle, presented a make shift machete which was believed to be made out of aluminum with a spray painted handle. The suspect pointed the machete at the victim and demanded he provide them with his vehicle, guns, and cell phone. The victim declined the request and told the suspects to leave. The suspect while holding the machete towards the victim began threatening to stick him and cut him. The victim then grabbed the machete and moved it away from his person towards the steering wheel of his truck. The suspects became fearful and told the victim to let go of the weapon. The other suspect wearing a black balaclava was in the back seat of the victims truck and stole his backpack. The two suspects then fled to their vehicle and took off west bound out of the field. The vehicle continued west to an unknown location. There were no injuries sustained during the incident.
The one suspect wearing a red balaclava was described as 200 pounds plus, wearing a red sweater with hoodie, and appeared to be older maybe mid 20’s to 30’s.
The second suspect was wearing a black balaclava, had dark colors, and wearing a black sweater. (The victim did not obtain the best description as he was more focused on suspect one with the weapon)
At this time there is no footage or other witnesses to the incident.
