On March 13, 2022 around 2:45 a.m. Battlefords RCMP responded to a request for police assistance at a residence on the 1600 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford. When police officers arrived, a 61-year-old male was located deceased inside the residence. Background is available here.
As a result of investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes have charged 34-year-old Nolan Bird from Saskatoon with one count, manslaughter, Section 236(a), Criminal Code in relation to the death of David Lapointe (Information #90196204). A warrant has been issued for his arrest and Major Crimes investigators are working to locate him.
Nolan Bird is described as approximately 5’7” and 170 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes, as well as tattoos on his neck and under one eye.
Nolan Bird may be in the Saskatoon, Battlefords or Edmonton area, but this can’t be confirmed.
