On July 30, 2017, the Indian Head RCMP Detachment received a report from an area farmer who had significant damage done to two of his steel grain bins. The grain bins were located in a rural location southeast of Indian Head. It appears as though one of the bins was struck by a vehicle and the second bin was driven through completely by the same vehicle. The bins were not holding any grain at the time of the damage. The damage was caused somewhere between June 26 to June 29, 2017.
The RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the vehicle and driver that was responsible for causing this damage to the farmer's grain storage buildings. The police believe that a model of Chevrolet vehicle was involved in this incident. The estimated cost of the damage is $12,000 to $16,000.
Anybody with information regarding this is asked to contact the Indian Head RCMP Detachment a (306) 695-5200 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
