Stolen-1998 Chevrolet 2500

On December 11th, 2018 between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM a truck was stolen from a residence in the town of Churchbridge.

The truck is a white 1998 Chevrolet 2500 with per-existing front end damage.

The vehicle has not yet been recovered.

Hit & Run of Power Pole-Rockglen

On the morning of February 13, 2019 around 1:00am, a driver reported a power line was down across HWY 2 approximately one mile north of Rockglen. SaskPower advised that from the vehicle tracks in the snow, it appears that a dually truck hit the guy wire on the power pole which brought the pole down. The power pole was located in a vacant farm yard.

Truck Exhaust Stolen-Yorkton

Sometime between Tuesday, January 1 and January 7, 2019, a Ford truck that was parked in the 300 block of 6th Ave. North had it's exhaust system cut off and stolen.

Vehicle Break & Enters-Saskatoon

On January 13, 2019 a vehicle was broken into at the Jemini Arena in Saskatoon and another vehicle break in was attempted before the suspect left the scene.

The suspect's vehicle appears to be a Blue 2008 - 2012 Ford Escape. No plate could be obtained.

Stolen Tractor-RM of Reciprocity

Between the 16th and the 25th of December, 2018, a 2012 IHC Farmall 31hp Tractor was stolen from a land location in the RM of Reciprocity.

Hit & Run-Emerald Park

On the night on January 23, 2019 a car drove into the back fence of a residence at Jade Place in Emerald Park, SK. The fence was damaged and the car left the scene. Parts left behind identify the vehicle as a Mercedes B200.

Theft of Catalytic Converters Around Regina

White Butte RCMP are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from Ford pick-up trucks from businesses surrounding Regina. On January 10, 2019, two unknown persons used power tools to cut the catalytic converters from two different Ford F-350 trucks. These parts are valued at more than $7,000.

Break & Enter at Blackstrap Provincial Park

On January 17, 2019, 4:38 am, the shop at the Blackstrap Provincial Park was broken into and diesel fuel was stolen from nearby storage tanks.  The suspect and vehicle is captured on video surveillance but no plate was noted.  The truck is believed to be a Ford F250 or F350 with a chemical tote in the box and aftermarket rims and lightbar.

In late December of 2018 or early January of 2019, someone broke into the outbuildings at a farm yard north of Pambrun, SK in the RM of Whiska Creek. Various tools and supplies were stolen. Items taken included: chop saw, oxygen tank, propane bottle, Dewalt angle grinders, Lennox hole saw kit, grease gun and assorted oils.

Thunder Oilfield Theft-Estevan

Between the evening hours of January 6, 2019 and early morning hours of January 7, 2019, one or more people entered property of Thunder Oilfield Construction Ltd.  A company truck contained equipment that was taken.  The following items were listed:

Residential Break & Enter-Swift Current

In the early afternoon of November 6, 2018, a residence situated on the 100 block of Grey Street West was broken into. The suspects gained entry by damaging the front door of the residence. Once inside the suspects took a number of undisclosed items from the residence.

Battery/Generator Theft-North Battleford

On December 8, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m, Two unknown suspects entered both the Walmart and Canadian Tire storage compounds in North Battleford, SK and stole over $1500.00 worth of property from from the two locations. The suspects used various wire cutters and their vehicle to load a number of used batteries and a generator into their vehicle. 
The suspects left in what appeared to be a white, 4 door, Dodge Ram 1500. There is a stripe down both sides of the vehicle.

Maidstone RCMP: Reports of an unknown male exposing himself to young children

On January 12th, 2019, Maidstone RCMP received reports of an unknown male exposing himself to young children during a hockey tournament at the arena in Hillmond, SK. 

Further to the release on January 14, 2019, a composite sketch has been provided by the Maidstone RCMP who are requesting the assistance of the public to help identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as approximately 40-year-old male, medium build, average height, dark hair, light black coat and black cap.

During the early morning hours of January 16, 2019, a single unknown person broke into a Business off 11 Hwy at Exit B.

Entry to the yard was gained through a locked gate, a window of the business was broken and a male observed on camera climbed through the window. The male was observed exiting the building with a black work jacket with fluorescent striping and a large plastic tote bin.

Male was driving a dark colored F150 crew cab 4wd approx. 2012 model.

Break, Enter, & Theft-Yellow Quill FN

The Greenwater RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance from the public in solving the following crime which happened at Yellow Quill First Nation, Saskatchewan.

At approximately 4:30 AM on the morning of December 19, 2018, two unidentified males broke into the Yellow Quill Store on Yellow Quill First Nation and stole a large quantity of cigarettes, tobacco products, and lighters. They were seen leaving the scene in a white late model Ram 2500 or 3500 Mega Cab, with black front and rear bumpers. The Greenwater RCMP continue their investigation.

Multiple Break-ins-Nokomis

On December 10th RCMP responded to multiple break ins in Nokomis, SK. A Blue Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from one business and recovered in Regina, and a framed, game worn Hendry hockey jersey was stolen from the Dodge Dealership.

La Ronge Firearms Discharge

On January 13, 2019, at approximately 9:15pm, La Ronge RCMP were dispatched to a report of a firearm being discharged at a residence on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, SK. Initial investigation has revealed that the residence had been shot at multiple times. Prior to  police arrival, the suspects fled the area. 

One of the bullets penetrated the walls of the residence and injured a five year-old who was inside at the time of the incident. Injuries sustained by the youth were described as serious but non-life threatening. There were other occupants in the residence at the time of the shooting. No other injuries have been reported.

Theft of Fiber Optic Cable

Between the summer of 2018 and mid-January of 2019, someone removed a section of newly installed fiber optic cable from a site near Highway #13 between Cadillac and Ponteix, Sk. The cable is black and approximately a couple of centimeters in diameter.

Thefts from Vehicles-Lumsden

During the early morning hours of January 15th 2019, Lumsden RCMP responded to multiple reports of thefts from vehicles within the community. A number of items were reported stolen, as well as a black 2007 Subaru Outback with Saskatchewan licence plate number 350 LEA. The vehicle has a black Thule storage container on top of the roof.

In the early hours of December 10, 2018 the Gordon First Nation Store was broken into. A light coloured extended cab pick up truck was seen driving into the parking lot minutes prior to 2 individuals entering the rear door of the store. The first individual was wearing a black toque, a neon yellow face covering, gray jacket, black pants and dark colour boots. The second individual was wearing a black balaclava, black jacket, blue ripped jeans and sneakers. The suspects removed a large safe containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

Watson-Break, Enter & Theft

The Humboldt RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance from the public in solving a break, enter and theft at a grocery store in Watson. Around midnight on December 25th 2018 two individuals forced entry into a grocery store in the 100 block of Railway Avenue, and made off with several bottles of alcohol. Sometime during the month of November 2018, 21 calves were stolen from a property near Prelate, Saskatchewan. Each animal was tagged and branded with the letters “HE” on the right rib.

Sometime throughout the night of December 23, 2018 and the early morning of December 24, 2018, a red Chevrolet Cobalt was parked on the 700 block of Prestwick Drive in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. During this time the parked vehicle was struck by another passing vehicle. The suspect driver then fled the scene.

Break & Enter-Firearms Stolen-Stanley Mission

On September 29th 2018, between 5 AM and 11 AM, a house on Muskeg Crescent in Stanley Mission , SK was broken into and multiple firearms were stolen. The subject gained entry by using a using a doghouse to enter a kitchen window. The firearms taken were: A Mossberg 12 gauge pump action shotgun, A black Stoger double barrel shotgun with a gold trigger, A black Marlin semi automatic .22 rifle which had a scope. A Ruger .22 which resembled an AR-15, and a pellet gun. Also taken were two Playstation 3's, an Xbox 360, a 50 lbs compound bow, and a 40 lbs recurve bow .

Wilkie RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in solving a Break and Enter that occurred on a farm yard in the R.M of Reford. The B&E occurred between September 2nd, 2018 and September 6th, 2018. The RCMP are looking to identify the Caucasian male, possible mid thirties, wearing a dark hoodie with white writing, blue jeans, and a dark ball cap. The male was driving a newer silver Chevy Silverado crew-cab truck.

Armed Robbery in Lake Lenore

On December 19th 2018 at approximately 9:00 p.m. Humboldt RCMP received a complaint of an Armed Robbery in Lake Lenore. A lone male entered a business on the 100 block of Main Street with a firearm and demanded money. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The male is described as Caucasian, approximately 6’1” tall, large build, wearing a camo winter coat and face covering.

No one was injured during this incident.

Humboldt and Lanigan RCMP with the assistance of Saskatoon RCMP Police Dog Services attended to this incident, and the investigation is ongoing. The male suspect may have left the area in a dark truck.  A still frame picture of the suspect is attached.

Stolen Snowmobiles in the RM of Wilton

Maidstone RCMP is looking for the public's assistance in locating two stolen snowmobiles in the Rural Municipality of Wilton.

 

On Monday December 17, 2018, at 6:30 a.m., two male suspects stole two snowmobiles from a private acreage located 10 kilometres south of Lloydminster in the Rural Municipality of Wilton.

 

The suspects are seen on security camera wearing light-coloured winter coats, ski pants and back packs. One of the two males is of thin build, the other male of larger build. They are both of average height. 

 

The stolen snowmobiles are a black and yellow 2005 Polaris Switchback and an orange and black 2013 Skidoo Summit 800.

Break & Enter and Theft of Heavy Equipment-Wilkie

Sometime overnight on Thursday December 13th, 2018, Unknown suspects broke into a storage unit on a rural property north of Wilkie. A black car hauler trailer with Alberta plate 5AY 209 was stolen. The trailer can be identified by an SWS sticker on the fender. Suspects also took an orange 2013 Kubota MX-5100 tractor with a 60" Blue Diamond rock bucket Bobcat attachment, a 2015 John Deere zero turn lawn mower, a Huskavarna chain saw and leaf blower were also taken. Photos are attached.

Armed Robbery-Yorkton

On August 5, 2018, at approximately 11:50PM two unknown masked males entered a business in the 100 block of Broadway West in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. One male brandished a weapon, while another demanded cash and stole cigarettes and cigars. Both males left on foot in an unknown direction. No one was physically injured.

The suspects are described as:
-2 adult males
-both wore masks covering entire face, except for eyes
-both wearing all black/dark clothing
-1 wore red shoes with black laces
-1 wore black shoes

Yorkton Assault & Attempted Robbery

On December 7 at 8:03PM Yorkton Municipal RCMP responded to call of a female in distress and having difficulty breathing at a business in the 300 Block of Parkview Road.

When members arrived they located the female employee who had been pepper sprayed by an unknown suspect. The suspect had demanded cigarettes when he sprayed the employee. The suspect did not get anything, and fled on foot northbound.

The employee sustained minor injuries.

Theft of Batteries-southeast of Macklin

 
The Unity RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in solving a theft file that occurred recently near Macklin, Saskatchewan.
 

On December 7th, 2018, a report was made about several 12-volt batteries and one 12-volt light that had been stolen from an oil well site southeast of Macklin.

The suspects are believed to have arrived at the scene driving a pickup truck and pulling a trailer behind.

Unsolved Broadview RCMP Mischiefs



There was a Break and Enter at the Broadview school on June 25, 2018.  There were a couple of windows smashed out on the exterior and multiple rooms were entered inside.  A number of items were taken from inside the school and some rooms were ransacked.

Members received a complaint on June 26, 2018 reporting the golf course clubhouse was broken into sometime overnight.  Person(s) trying to enter, tried to kick the front door in. Point of entry was made through the window.  Nothing was reported to have been taken.  A number of shapes/symbols were spray painted in and around the property.

Members received a complaint reporting a break and enter and theft that occurred sometime between June 21 and June 23, 2018 at the Broadview Museum.  A TV was reported to be stolen.  There were no signs of forced entry and there was one outbuilding door damaged on the property.

Dirt Bike Theft-Chitek Lake

On or around October 13th, 2018, an orange and black coloured 2012 250cc Pantera dirt bike was stolen from a garage at Chitek Lake. The vin # is LWPGCN0A6B3000601. The dirt bike has orange and black stickers on it.

The theft of the dirt bike is believed to be related to other break and enters in the area that have occurred recently.

On September 6th, 2018 at 4:42 am. Two suspects broke into the Grasswoods Petrocan on Hwy # 11 south of Saskatoon. They left the scene in a stolen white 1996 Dodge Ram truck which is not been recovered.

Pigs Shot Near Young, Sk / Theft of Canola

Between Nov 24th, 2018, at 5:30 pm, and Nov 25th, 2018, 1:30 pm, someone shot 3 Hamshire & York breed, pig sows, that were roaming in the owner's field, south of Young, Sask.

Between the end of September, 2018, and Nov 26th, 2018, someone stole 2000 bushels of Canola, valued at $20,000.00, from an unlocked grain bin, located in an unoccupied farmyard, south west of Janzen, Sask.

Family Dog Shot & Killed on Rural Property

Tisdale RCMP are currently investigating an offence that occurred on October 13th 2018 between 1:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. During the afternoon on this date a blue heeler dog was shot and killed on a rural property near Sylvania. It appears that the dog may have been shot from a person in a vehicle who had driven by.

Mischief's in Assiniboia

The Assiniboia RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for mischiefs that occurred in the town of Assiniboia sometime between 11:00 pm, November 23 and 2:00 pm, November 24, 2018. The person(s) responsible smashed in a window of a vehicle parked on 3rd Ave. E and damaged a fence of a residence of 4th Ave E.

Theft of Grain Dryer-Rosthern Area

During the summer of 2018 a grain dryer was parked and listed for sale at a gas station on Highway 12 just south of the PETROFKA bridge . It was later stolen by unknown individuals.
The grain dryer is descr ibed as a late 80 's model Morridge 8440 , dull green in colour , 4 wheels and a hitch for transport.

Theft of ATV from Maidstone

On May 7, 2018 a complaint was received for a theft of a 2007 Red 4dr Ford F-150 with a 2009 Arctic Cat ATV in the back was stolen from Maidstone. The truck has since been recovered but the ATV is still missing.

Assist to Identify in Sexual Assault-Onion Lake

Onion Lake RCMP with the assistance of General Investigation and Forensic Identification Sections from North Battleford have been investigating a break and enter and attempted sexual assault in the Onion Lake area in December, 2017.

At that time, a female in her 70’s awoke in her residence to find an adult male inside her bedroom between 5 and 6 am.   The male attempted to sexually assault the woman, but she was able to deter him until someone else came to the residence and knocked on the front door to visit.  The male then fled out the rear of the residence.

There have been extensive efforts to identify the male and several interviews have been conducted to eliminate possible suspects.

The suspect is described as less than 5’6’’ inches tall and very thin build.

Arson of Truck-909 Highway

On September 23, 2018, a 2017 Dodge Ram truck was found severely burned on the 909 Highway, near the 155 Junction . It was parked on the highway at approximately 11:00pm on September 22, 2018 and found burned at approximately 11:00am on September 23, 2018.

Theft of Solar Panel Wiring

On September 18, 2018 White Butte RCMP received a complaint of theft of solar panel wiring which occurred the previous evening between 5pm-7am Sept 18, 2018.

The theft occurred at a local Welding shop yard north of Regina near Inland Drive.  

The suspect(s) are believed to have been driving a truck in which the heavy wiring would have been loaded onto. It appears that the suspect(s) would have used a device to unload the wiring as the wiring was on large 5000 linear foot spools. The wiring is 1000 volt wiring specifically used for solar panels. The wiring is red and black in color and valuable to the business owner.

Gas Theft-North Battleford

On October 15, 2018 at approximately 2:10 pm, a male in this white Dodge Journey was observed driving around the Wal-Mart parking lot in North Battleford siphoning gas from vehicles. This male managed to get $60 worth from an employees truck.

Warrant for Arrest-John Kent Churchill

 
On June 18 at 9:00 p.m. the Esterhazy RCMP, with the assistance of Moosomin RCMP, Broadview RCMP, and Yorkton Traffic Services responded to a complaint of a firearm being discharged in Yarbo, SK. Initial investigation has determined that an individual approached a residence and discharged a firearm. This individual then left the scene in a vehicle.
 
Esterhazy RCMP do not believe there is a threat to public safety in relation to this incident. No injuries were reported.
 
In relation to this incident, RCMP have obtained an arrest warrant for 55-year-old John Kent Churchill of Churchbridge, Saskatchewan for the following charges:
Assault with a weapon, Section 267(a) of the Criminal Code
Pointing a firearm, Section 87(2) of the Criminal Code
Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(2) of the Criminal Code
Careless use of a firearm, Section 87(2) of the Criminal Code
This investigation remains ongoing and further updates will be provided as they become available.

Historical Criminal Negligence Causing Death

 

Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate a historical Criminal Negligence Causing Death which occurred on the night of May 4th, 1985. A grid road northeast of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in the RM of Paddockwood was washed out from heavy rains that year and was marked with signs on both sides of the wash out.  Unknown person(s) removed the sign from one side of the washout; subsequently, 23 year old Jacqueline Lavoie drove her car into the washed out portion of the roadway and died from injuries sustained in the collision.  Two passengers were seriously injured.
