Multiple Arsons in Tompkins, Sk.

Swift Current Rural RCMP are asking for your help and seeking information in solving the following crime which happened in Tompkins, Saskatchewan.

On October 12, 2020 there was a report of a house fire in Tompkins which occurred between 1:00 A.M and 6:00 A.M. and later determined to be intentially set.

In 2020 there was multiple arsons reported in the town of Tompkins.

On August 23, 2021 A Break and Enter to a residence occurred on 4th Ave West in Elrose, SK. between 5:30 am and 6 am.

Break & Enter to Residence- RM of Fish Creek

On October 2nd, 2021 the Wakaw RCMP responded to a report of break and enter at a residence in the RM of Fish Creek. . There was a sea can, RV and house that was broken into sometime between September 24th and October 1st 2021. Polaris 1996 green quad, TV, PlayStation, sound system, brush cutters, chainsaw, air compressor were all stolen during the course of the break and enter. On October 4th 2021 there was another report of a break and enter where a truck and trailer were reported stolen. The truck is described as a 1997 Nissan King Cab white in colour with Saskatchewan license plate WDW303. There was also a big water tank in the back of the truck. The trailer was a homemade trailer with Saskatchewan license plate 085KDG, there was also a large water tank in the back of the trailer. There were also tools, a GPS, and booster cables that were stolen with the truck.

Stolen License Plate-Wadena

On or around September 24th, 2021, license plate 606KIX was stolen from a vehicle that was parked on 1st Street NE in Wadena. The vehicle was parked out front of the Wadena News building.

Theft of Tractor-North of Veregin

Sometime between Friday, October 1, 2021 and Monday, October 4, 2021, a theft of a tractor occurred north of Veregin, Sk. The suspect(s) got away with a red and white vintage W6 International tractor with a V-plow on the front during this time. It appears the suspects pulled the tractor off the property and loaded it on to a trailer.

Stolen Honda ATV Near Margo

On or around September 14th, 2021 an unknown person(s) stole a 2007 Honda ATV. The ATV was red and black and had a front windshield. Serial number 1HTFE356274000362. The ATV was stolen out of a farmer’s field near the town of Margo, SK.

Fatal Hit & Run of Tyrell Longman

In the early morning of July 22, 2021, Tyrell Longman was found deceased on a grid road north of Gordon's First Nation. He was last seen alive around 3:50 a.m. on July 22, when he walked through the Security Check Point at the North entrance of Gordon First Nation.

He was fatally hit by a vehicle where he succumbed to his injuries.

RCMP are looking for any information regarding the fatal hit and run on Tyrell Longman.

Damage to Farm Equipment-Fishing Lake First Nation

On September 7th, 2021 and unknown person(s) damaged the tires of multiple combines that were on the property of a residence on Fishing Lake First Nation.

Damage at River Dene Park

Swift Current RCMP are investigating a mischief that occurred on September 19, 2021 between the hours of 4:30 pm -7:30 pm at a building in the River Dene Park. The drinking fountain and emergency lights were damaged.

Stolen Trailer & Tractor from Hospital

On Sep. 14, 2021, North Battleford RCMP received a report of a theft of a Utility trailer, Kabota tractor and Kabota tiller belonging to the North Battleford Sask. Hospital.  They were stored near the property in an unsecure area.  The staff noticed the tractor and tiller were missing on Aug. 26, 2021. The trailer was noticed missing on Sep.13, 2021. 

Description of the items are as follows:

·        2016 Black utility trailer, Sk. Pl # 921LNH, VIN # 5JW1U817G1125632, Appr. Value $2000

·        Kubota B4200 tractor (no plate, no serial #), Appr. Value $16000

·        Kubota FL100D tiller (no serial number), Appr. Value $1000

Stolen Gun-Shaunavon

Sometime between September 12 and 14, 2021 , a residence on the 100 Block of 5th Avenue West in Shaunavon was broken into and a black semi-automatic
Girsan MC28 9mm pistol with 2 magazines was stolen. The pistol was locked in a black plastic case with the markings of “Girsan” on the outside.

Theft of Property-RM of Frenchman Butte


Turtleford RCMP were advised of a break and enter which occurred in the Rm of Frenchman Butte between August 4th to September 9th, 2021. Property was entered at a rural land location and multiple items and trailers were stolen. A 1995 Conquest travel trailer, white in color, was taken with a license plate number of 886954 Alberta. A 2003 SWS Utility trailer, black in color, was taken with a license plate number of T12104 Alberta. A 3500 Watt Coleman Generator. Over 100 Gallons of Diesel and a set of Rubber Skid Steer tires with black painted rims. There were also various other carpentry and construction tools taken. Police continue to investigate this matter and are seeking the public's assistance.

On August 13th, 2021 suspects broke in to a rural property in the community of Pike Lake. Multiple items were stolen, including a framed piece of art. The suspect involved was driving a silver SUV.

Stolen 2007 Trailtech Trailer

Weyburn PS File # 2021-1-260-821

On August 23rd, 2021 at approximately 2:30am, a 2007 Trailtech Trailer displaying SK plate 770HZD, was stolen from a commercial parking lot in Weyburn, SK. Video footage obtained shows a white Ford F-150 extended cab drive into the lot, hookup the trailer and drive away.

On or between July 23rd 2021 to July 26th 2021, a rural business in the RM of Corman Park was broken into. Electrical cables were cut and taken from machinery on the property. The suspects cut the lock on the gate to the property and entered the land location by a side by side(ATV).

Sometime on Saturday the night of August 28th, 2021, a vehicle drove around the fairways on Allan Golf course.  Vehicle tire mark damage was left on fairways, #1, #3 and #9.   The tire marks appeared to be from a vehicle with wide tires approximately 10  inches.

Calf Shot-RM of Frenchman Butte

On July 25th, 2021, a rancher in the RM of Frenchman Butte was checking his herd when he discovered one of his calves had been shot and killed. The pasture is located approximately 13 miles north of Frenchman Butte.

Intentional Flooding of Home-Balgonie

Between August 20 - 22, 2021 someone broke a basement window at the back of a residence on Curry Bay in Balgonie, SK.  The person then ran a garden hose through the broken window into the basement of the residence.  The water was tuned on flooding the basement causing major damage to the residence.   

The morning of August 22, 2021 dayshift members got a call from an unregistered cell phone about a window being broken at the residence.  The member attended but did not check the back of the residence.

On July 27, 2021 Saskatoon RCMP received a complaint of a theft of approximately 36 sheets of ½”thick 4’x8’ sheets of plywood from a job site in an industrial area outside of Saskatoon.

Break & Enter to Camper at Wakaw Lake Regional Park

On August 31st, 2021, Wakaw RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at the Wakaw Lake Regional Park to a camper. The camper was broken into sometime between August 15th and August 31st 2021. Taylormade Golfclubs, a Samsung TV, a Sharp TV, and a Soudbar were all stolen during the course of the break in. The total losses are equivalent to around $3,000.00.

Stolen 2015 Polaris Razor 1000 Near Paradise Hill


Turtleford RCMP were advised of a stolen side by side which occurred in the late hours of Sunday August 29th. The side by side was stolen from a business near Paradise Hill, SK. The vehicle is described as a 2015 Polaris Razor 1000. It is a two seat side by side, orange and black in color with black, white and orange decals. There is also flood lights mounted on the roof and an orange push bar with winch. Police continue to investigate this occurrence and are seeking the publics assistance.

Warman Residential Break & Enter

On Sunday, July 18th, 2021, the Warman RCMP received a report of a break and enter to an attached garage in Warman, Sk. on the South West side of the city.

The incident occurred sometime during the night of Saturday, July 17th, and the early morning of Sunday, July 18th. The home owners had several items stolen, most of which included tools, a jack stand, torch kit, an RV battery, an acoustic guitar, and several sentimental hobby toys.

The suspect(s) gained entry through the garage door without damaging anything in the process.

Theft of Catalytic Converters

File #2021-700107

Between the evening of May 20th, 2021 and May 21st, 2021, at a vehicle compound North of the Cory Potash Mine in the RM of Corman Park, approximately 25-40 vehicles had their catalytic converters stolen from them. The suspect(s) broke into the lot through the back fence near the train tracks, used a floor jack to lift the vehicles, and with a reciprocating saw, cut the exhaust pipes leading to and from the catalytic converters, and removed them.

Police have noticed this to be a recent trend in the Province.

Theft of Diamond C Goose Neck Flat Bed 32ft Trailer-Blaine Lake

Blaine Lake RCMP is requesting the public’s help with locating a Diamond C goose neck flat bed 32 foot trailer that was stolen some time overnight on August 27th/28th in the Blaine Lake RM. The license plate for the trailer is 650KRP and the VIN is 46UFU3225F1162710 which is located on the neck of the trailer, however the last two digits of the VIN has been scratched off.

Assist to Identify in Bethune Break & Enters

In the overnight hours of August 6th, 2021, a male and female were captured on surveillance camera trying to open a door to a shed but spotted the camera and left. There were two other incidents in Bethune that were reported to police which occurred during the same time period.

Windows Smashed at Cote FN Day Care

On May 5, 2021 between the hours of 1:30-2:00am, five suspects wearing dark clothing were seen smashing the windows of the Cote First Nation Day Care. One of the suspects was holding the metal bar. The windows were destoyed and a jug of red paint was spilled on the floor.

Theft & Arson of Semi from Southwest of Qu'Appelle

On August 5, the Indian Head RCMP responded to a vehicle fire in the rural area southwest of Quappelle. The fire was extinguished by the Quappelle Fire Department but police determined that the semi truck was stolen from a rural property that was a few miles directly north of where the fire was.

The vehicle was a blue 2013 tri-axle Mack semi tractor and it was completely destroyed by the fire.

Removal of Sign Mischief-Chitek

Spiritwood RCMP and Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers are seeking the assistance of the public in the following report of mischief on highway 24, south of the town of Chitek:

On July 15th, passers-by had noticed the Heifer & Hen sign had been knocked down from its location south of the town of Chitek, on highway 24. Spiritwood RCMP attended and observed that the sign had obviously been cut down with a cutting tool and there were ATV tracks leading up to the downed sign.

On August 10, 2021, a 2005 red Dodge Ram was stolen from the Cut Knife area. The truck was bearing the Sask plate 279LQG and was missing the tailgate.

Stolen Side By Side-RM of Corman Park

Warman RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance from the public in solving the following crime which occurred between August 7 and August 9, 2021. Unknown person(s) cut the fence and entered a business property off Highway #16 in the Rural Municipality of Corman Park. A 2021 Kubota RTV-XG850 side by side vehicle was stolen. Mischief at Stewart Hawke school in Hudson Bay

On July 23rd, Hudson Bay RCMP received a report of mischief at the Stewart Hawke school. It was determined that unknown individuals had climbed onto the roof of the building and caused damage the night prior.

Rural Break & Enter Between Insinger and Theodore

On or between July 4, 2021 and July 11, 2021 unknown individual(s) attended a farmyard situated between Insinger, Saskatchewan and Theodore, Saskatchewan and committed a break and enter. 

They broke the padlock to a sea-can and stole several articles, including a Greenworks 40v electric mower, 100w solar panel, 400w power inverter, deep cycle battery, 5x6.5 roll up door, 4 speed transmission, Mastercraft table saw, and a snow blower.

Theft of ATV from North of Lloydminster


In between July 12th, 2021 at 7:00 am and July 14th, 2021 at 7pm, a vacant shop located north of Lloydminster, SK, was broken into. Suspect(s) stole a red 1999 Arctic Cat Series 400 ATV from the shop.

A North Battleford rural resident reported a theft of irrigation cable from his farm land in the Rm of North Battleford. He suspects it happened between April 23-30, 2021.

Theft of John Deere Sprayer-RM of North Battleford

A North Battleford resident reported a theft of a farm sprayer that occurred sometime between June 13, 2021 and June 16, 2021.  It was parked at a rural location in the RM of North Battleford.  The sprayer is described as:

Theft of Civic Signs from Paynton

Theft of Civic Signs from Paynton - Maidstone RCMP

Over the past three months, there has been a theft of Civic Signs in Paynton area. Over a dozen signs had been stolen, and suspect(s) had been intentionally stealing signs by cutting off the post or unscrewing bolts.

These signs are property of the R.M. of Paynton No.470.

Break and Enter RM of Maryfeild Shop


Sometime during the night of February 23rd the Rural Municipality of Maryfield shop located at 999 Main Street, Maryfield was broken into. Approximately $2000 worth of tools were stolen including a Milwaukee 3/4 inch impact, Milwaukee 1/2 impact, Milwaukee cordless angle grinder, Milwaukee cordless 1/4 grinder, Milwaukee cordless reciprocating saw, Milwaukee 1/2 inch cordless drill, and a Lincoln 175 wire feed welder. The male suspect appears to be wearing a white or light colored jacket and appeared to be driving a dark colored 1/2 ton Chevrolet short box truck.

Break, Enter & Thefts to SaskPower Facilities-Southern Saskatchewan

The Weyburn RCMP are asking for assistance from the public for information regarding a number of thefts from SaskPower facilities in the past few weeks.


Two SaskPower substations in the Halbrite area reported heavy ground cables were stolen.


Not only is this incredibly dangerous, it could also cause power outages to large areas in Saskatchewan.


The Weyburn RCMP would like to ask that if anyone sees people or vehicles at any SaskPower substations in the evening/overnight hours, that do not appear to belong there, to contact the RCMP.

Stolen Trucks from Hague Dealership

Rosthern RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance with any information regarding a Break and Enter that occurred between the hours of 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM on February 16th, 2021 at the Valley Ford Dealership in Hague, Saskatchewan.

During the Break and Enter two vehicles were stolen, which were described as:

- White 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty, SK plate 271LSM

Break in to Storage Shed in Humboldt

The Humboldt RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance from the public in solving a break and enter that occurred in Humboldt. At approximately 3:15 a.m. on the morning of August 14, a storage building on the 1200 block of 5th Avenue in Humboldt, SK was broken into. Suspects forced entry and approximately $200 dollars of merchandise was stolen. It is believed that 2-3 persons are responsible for this break-in. Local RCMP continue to investigate this matter.

Theft of pressurized gas tanks from Foam Lake

On the night or early morning of August 5th, 2020, a shed outside a business in Foam Lake was broken into. Approximately 6 pressurized tanks as seen below were stolen. Three of the tanks contained mig gas used for welding, two tanks contained oxygen and one tank contained helium.

SaskPower Copper Wire Theft - Maymont Area

On July 5th, 2020 around 9:30am there was a power outage in the Maymont area that was the result of an attempted theft of Copper wire from a SaskPower transformer station. In the attempt to steal the copper cables a transformer blew causing damage that was dangerous to SaskPower employees and the thieves themselves.

Break in to Hall in Lake Lenore

On April 14th, 2020 Humboldt RCMP were dispatched to a break in to a community hall in Lake Lenore. Sometime between March 23rd and April 14th unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the hall, which is located in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue. The building was vandalized for approximately $1400 in damages. RCMP continue to investigate this matter and are requesting the public’s assistance with any information regarding this.

These two unknown persons involved in this break & enter were caught on CCTV entering a business in the early morning hours in the Hamlet of McCord, SK, Once inside the business, the individuals removed several sets of vehicle tires and batteries. The suspects departed the business, entered the rear storage yard where 6 electric fuel pumps were removed.

The Greenwater RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance from the public in solving the following crime which between June 5, 2019 and June 12, 2019. During this time, unknown person(s) attended, broke into and entered into House 75 on Yellow Quill First Nation, Saskatchewan. Multiple items were stolen from the residence and significant damaged was caused to the property.

At approximately 12:30am on Wednesday, June 12th, the Iron Grill Steakhouse in Kamsack was broken into. The suspect(s) broke the glass out of the South entrance door, and stole several bottles of alcohol.

Slight of Hand Theft-North Battleford

On 2018-08-01 the above pictured female was involved in a sleight of hand theft of cash from Canadian Tire. This female brought two high value items for purchase to the checkout. Once the items had been rung in the female handed the cashier a pile of $20 bills. The cashier counted the bills and then the female took the bills back to count them again herself. While doing so the female challenged the clerk on the amount shown on the register and as the cashier looked at the till screen to confirm the female skimmed off a quantity of the bills before returning the remaining ones to the cashier. Once the cashier received the bills back they were placed into the register without confirming. The female leaves the store but returned minutes later with the items requesting a full cash refund for the purchase. Upon review of video
surveillance by the store owner and review of the night cash out it was determined that the female was able to steal $140.00 cash.

Historical Criminal Negligence Causing Death

 

Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate a historical Criminal Negligence Causing Death which occurred on the night of May 4th, 1985. A grid road northeast of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in the RM of Paddockwood was washed out from heavy rains that year and was marked with signs on both sides of the wash out.  Unknown person(s) removed the sign from one side of the washout; subsequently, 23 year old Jacqueline Lavoie drove her car into the washed out portion of the roadway and died from injuries sustained in the collision.  Two passengers were seriously injured.

2009 GMC Sierra Theft in Melville

Melville RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in locating the person or persons responsible for the theft of a dark grey 2009 GMC Sierra in Melville, Saskatchewan.
