In the early morning hours of 29 January, 2017 unknown person(s) kicked in the apartment door to a residence in the 1400 block of 104 Street, North Battleford, Saskatchewan, and intentionally set the apartment on fire. It is believed the individual would have been carrying a jerry can or similar type of container as some type of gasoline or other accelerent was poured on the floor before igniting the fire.
This fire is believed to be related to a robbery and serious assault that occurred at this apartment earlier in the evening.
When this fire was set there were three people that were sleeping in a different apartment and who just got out with the clothes they were wearing. They were not involved in the earlier incident.
