Assist to Identity-Credit & Debit Card Fraud

On February 4th, 2018 a purse was stolen in the City of Saskatoon.
 
On February 5th, 2018, 2 suspects, 1 female and 1 male, went to various business in Martensville SK using the victims credit and debit cards spending roughly $500 during their shopping spree at the victims expense.


The female suspect could be seen carrying the victims purse and taking out the victims wallet to pay for the items.
Both suspects were seen arriving in the vehicle (see attached) however the plates were reported stolen off another vehicle from the City of Saskatoon.

Missing-Victor FALK

The RCMP in Rosthern is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing elderly Male. Victor FALK is 77 years old and was last seen at this residence yesterday at 6:30 pm and has not been seen since that time. FALK is in overall good physical health, but is suffering from a medical condition that can cause mood changes and confusion. He has wandered around the area often in the past and may have come disoriented. Falk is 175 cms tall and weights 81 kgs. He maybe wearing a long sleeve plaid shirt, with a blue and white hat and dark pants. He does wear glasses, but may have large sunglasses overtop of his prescription glasses. He does not have access to a vehicle and is know to frequent the area around the communities of Rosthern and Waldheim. If anyone has seen Falk in the last few hours they are urged to contact the Rosthern RCMP at 306 -232- 6400 or to call 911.

Wanted-Sean Reid Schille

At approximately 4:45 p.m. on August 13, 2018, Wilkie RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on a rural property along Highway 29 north of Wilkie. When officers responded, they ran the plates which did not match the vehicle, a green Ford F350 truck; both were registered as stolen. When officers approached the vehicle and advised the male that he was under arrest, he put the truck into reverse and backed into some bushes after striking a play structure on the property. He then put the vehicle in drive and drove toward one of the officers on scene. The officer did not sustain any injuries. The driver then took off through the bush and into a field. Officers were unable to follow due to the terrain but continued to make patrols of the area.

As they came to another rural property, officers witnessed a white Ford F350 driving erratically heading north on a grid road. The green F350 from the previous incident was abandoned at this location. Officers initiated a pursuit but ended it a short time later. The white F350 has since been recovered, but officers are still trying to locate the driver.

As such, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 38 year-old Sean Reid Schille in relation to this incident. He has been charged with the following:

· Assault peace officer with a weapon, Sec. 270.01(2), Criminal Code (CC)

· Mischief under $5,000, Sec. 430(4), CC

· Flight from police, Sec. 249.1(1), CC

· Motor vehicle theft, Sec. 333.1(1), CC

· Assault with a weapon, Sec. 267(a), CC

· Four counts, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, Sec. 354(1)(a), CC

· Impaired operation of a motor vehicle, Sec. 253(1)(a), CC

· Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Sec. 249(1)(a), CC

· Possession of marihuana, Sec. 4(1), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Animal Abuse-Kamsack

On Wednesday, July 18th, a resident of Kamsack reported that a puppy she was fostering had been kicked or struck in the head by an unknown party, and had later died from its' injuries. She believed that this had occurred the night of Sunday, July 15th.

The dog was kept in an open-topped pen along her back fence.

Slight of Hand Theft-North Battleford

On 2018-08-01 the above pictured female was involved in a sleight of hand theft of cash from Canadian Tire. This female brought two high value items for purchase to the checkout. Once the items had been rung in the female handed the cashier a pile of $20 bills. The cashier counted the bills and then the female took the bills back to count them again herself. While doing so the female challenged the clerk on the amount shown on the register and as the cashier looked at the till screen to confirm the female skimmed off a quantity of the bills before returning the remaining ones to the cashier. Once the cashier received the bills back they were placed into the register without confirming. The female leaves the store but returned minutes later with the items requesting a full cash refund for the purchase. Upon review of video
surveillance by the store owner and review of the night cash out it was determined that the female was able to steal $140.00 cash.

Theft of Boat Motor-Greenwater Provincial Park

Greenwater RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance from the public in solving the following crime which occurred between July 28th and July 29th, 2018 at Greenwater Provincial Park, Saskatchewan. During this time, an unknown person(s) attended the Greenwater Park marina and stole a black Minn Kota trolling motor off a power boat docked in the marina.

Assist to Identify-Attempted ATM Theft-Prud’Homme, Sk.

On January 12th 2018 at approximately 4:20am, three males entered the Prud’Homme Credit Union with tow straps and tried to take the ATM machine. The machine was boarded into the wall and they couldn’t get the straps around the ATM machine. The males left the building and then came back with grinders to try and cut through the top plate. Minor damage to the machine and nothing was taken. Video of the three males shows they had their faces covered.

Wanted-Rudy Waylan Conroy Park

La Loche RCMP are seeking information as to the whereabouts of 29-year-old Rudy Waylan Conroy Park of Clearwater River Dene Nation who is wanted in relation to a complaint of a firearm being pointed at a person which occurred on August 9th, 2018. A photo of Park is attached.

On August 9, 2018 – at approximately 4:20 p.m. - police responded to a complaint of a firearm being pointed at a person. After attending the scene, a suspect was observed operating a motor vehicle. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop at which time the suspect fled from police.

An arrest warrant for Rudy Waylan Conroy Park has been issued for the follow charges:

Armed Robbery-Yorkton

On August 5, 2018, at approximately 11:50 p.m. two males wearing masks entered a business on the 100 block of Broadway West in Yorkton, SK. One of the males displayed a weapon, while the other demanded cash. The two took cigarettes and an amount of money and left on foot going in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported to police.

 

The persons of interest are two adult males, both were wearing masks covering their entire faces except for their eyes, and both were wearing black/dark clothing at the time of the incident. One had on red shoes with black laces and the other was wearing all black shoes.

 On the night of July 30 two BMX bikes were stolen from 2nd Street Lashburn, Saskatchewan.  One is orange and the other purple.  No serial numbers were given.

Dog Missing after Vehicle Collision

There was a collision on Saturday, August 4, 2018 on Highway #1 between Whitewood and Burrows where a dog escaped from the vehicle during the collision. The dog also had a cone on and was running west along Highway #1.

Dog's name is Tanny and it suffers from anxiety.

Please call your local RCMP if you spot the dog. It is likely very frightened and the owners would really like their dog back.

The La Ronge RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Cory Mitchell McLaughlin of McCreary, Manitoba. The last known contact with McLaughlin was on July 31st, 2018 at approximately 4:35 p.m.

McLaughlin is described as a 45-year-old male, approximately 5’8” tall, weighing 200 lbs, with brown hair, and blue eyes. It is currently unknown what he was last seen wearing.  

It is believed McLaughlin is driving a red/maroon 2005 Ford F-150 with Manitoba licence plate EJZ 932. McLaughlin may be in the area between La Ronge, SK and the Manitoba border. He also may be in the area between Snow Lake, MB and the Saskatchewan border.

On 2018-07-30 at approximately 2:30 am a Golf Course near Biggar was broken into and approximately 50 cans of beers (mixed brands) were stolen. During the same time frame three additional neayby farms were broken into where more beer cans were stolen.

Assist to Identify-Credit Card Fraud-Swift Current

On March 26, 2018 an unidentified couple used fraudulent credit cards at a business in Swift Current to make a large purchase of tools with a value over $5000. They used a cover story that they were building a house and had their tools stolen and needed to replace them.

The male is described as being in his 30's , causcasion with a slight tan, trimmed goatee and moustache, heavier set, approxiamtely 5ft 8", and approximately 190-220 lbs. The male was wearing a black shirt, khaki cargo pants, grey casual shoes and a black and white Bauer hat with sunglasses.

The female is described as being caucasian with fair skin, dyed black hair pulled back in a ponytail, heavier set or pregnant, approximately 5ft 5"-5ft 7" and approximately 155-170 lbs. She was wearing a light pink top, white and black patterned leggings, black hightop runners and a black winter coat with faux fur on the hood.

Tisdale RCMP- Attempted Child Abduction

On July 30, 2018, at 9:30 p.m., a report was made to the Tisdale RCMP Detachment of an attempted child abduction. An unknown adult male driving a white, 4 door truck with rust along the bottom of it, approached two children on 100 Street in Tisdale, offering them candy and a ride home. The male was described as wearing glasses, having short brown hair, possibly in his thirties, and of a darker complexion. There were some passengers in the vehicle as well, and the truck model was believed to be a Dodge. A vehicle license plate was not obtained. The involved children were aged six and nine, both female, and they declined the offer without incident. Police made extensive patrols but were unable to locate the vehicle, nor identify the individuals involved. The investigation is ongoing.
Tisdale RCMP are reminding parents and guardians to be vigilant of their children's whereabouts and safety. It is important that children are spoken to about "stranger danger" and told not to accept gifts or rides from strangers, nor to approach within reach of strange vehicles.

Arson- Dillon RCMP Detachment


On Thursday, July 26th at approximately 2:45 a.m., Saskatchewan RCMP’s Divisional Communications Centre received a report of a fire at the RCMP detachment in Dillon, SK. The fire was extinguished by two local residents prior to members arriving and caused minimal damage to the building.

Initial investigation has determined that the fire was deliberately set. Dillon RCMP are seeking any information the public may be able to provide in relation to this arson investigation.

Residential Break & Enter-Wilkie

On July 26th, 2018 the Wilkie RCMP received a complaint of a Break and Enter to a residence at the 600 block on 1st Street West in Wilkie. Firearms, clothing and money were taken by the suspects. The Break and Enter occurred sometime between 1:30 PM July 25th, and 8:30 PM July 26th. 

The RCMP are requesting that the public report any suspicious person or vehicles they observe as well as any incidents where anyone has trespassed onto their property.  We would also like to remind the public to lock their vehicles and buildings when they are away from home.

Battlefords RCMP – Sudden Death Investigation

On the morning of July 25, 2018, an adult male was found deceased on Highway #4 approximately 1 kilometre south of the town of Battleford. 

 

The deceased is being identified as 33 year old Merle Curley from Mosquito First Nation. Curley's family has given the RCMP permission to release his name in the hope that it will lead to information coming forward to assist in the investigation.  It is believed that Curley was struck by a vehicle that did not remain on scene.

Saskatchewan RCMP and SaskPower are advising the public of an apparent “phishing” scam being delivered via text message.

The message advises people that they have received a payment or refund from SaskPower and provides a link where they are asked to provide personal/banking information.

SaskPower advises that they never request banking information via text or other electronic means.

On June 19th, 2018 around 3am a male broke into the Rose Valley Town Office and attempted to use a sledgehammer to smash through the walls to get into the room with a safe in it. No items were stolen. The accused was spotted on video surveillance walking around the building. It’s believed to be the same male who also broke into the Kuroki and Quill Lake town halls the day before.

On July 4th at approximately 6:50 a.m. a grey Ford truck with a stolen plate filled up with gas at the Davidson Coop and then fled southbound without paying for the fuel. The vehicle was located on Highway #11 near Chamberlain but did not stop for police and continued southbound. Suspicious Person-Kelvington

Greenwater RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance from the public in solving the following crime which occurred July 18th 2018 at approximately 8:00 PM. During this time, an unknown male approached a 6 year old female in the town of Kelvington and attempted to convince her to get into his vehicle. The child ran for help and the male drove off in his vehicle. The male is described as a Caucasian male, brown and grey hair with a bald spot on top. The vehicle the male was driving is described as an older model white Chevrolet Impala.

Lloydminster RCMP looking to identify vehicle involved in sexual assault

On Saturday July 14, 2018, Lloydminster RCMP started an investigation into a sexual assault that occurred between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m., on 75 Avenue North of Highway 16 near Lloydminster. The victim, an adult female sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assault.

 

The Lloydminster RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a vehicle of interest in this investigation.

Trent Angus is aboriginal appearance at approximately 178-180cm tall with medium build.

Battery Theft-Emerald Park

On May 5, 2018 40 to 50 used batteries were stolen from the New Holland Dealership in Emerald Park, SK.  A hole was cut in the fence at the South side of the yard and the batteries were removed.  Video showed two people were involved in the theft and a dark coloured truck was used.

Indian Head RCMP are requesting the assistance of the public in locating Joel Maurer.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Maurer in the Indian Head area. He has been charged with the following offences in relation to incident on October 28, 2016 in Wolseley, Saskatchewan:

·         2 counts, Impaired Operation Causing Bodily Harm, Section 255(2) of Criminal Code.

·         2 counts, Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm, Section 249(3) of Criminal Code.

·         1 count, Assault, Section 266 of Criminal Code.

·         1 count, Flight from police, Section 249.1(1) of Criminal Code.

·         1 count, Fail to notified property owner of damage from an accident, Section 253(1)(a)(ii) of Traffic and Safety Act.

Maurer is a 30 year-old male described as being 6”2, Caucasian, medium build, blond hair and blue eyes. He has ties to the Fort Qu’Appelle and Melville areas, but there is no indication at this time that he may be in those communities.

Melville RCMP – Reported kidnapping

At approximately 4:05 PM, Melville RCMP responded to a complaint of a reported kidnapping that had taken place at approximately 1:30 PM from a rural property south of Melville.

A female was home alone when an unknown male entered the residence armed with a firearm that had been reportedly stolen from that residence. The male demanded to be driven to Regina, and the female complied. Once in Regina, the male demanded to be taken to a residence. Upon arriving at the residence, the male had exited the car. The female drove away and immediately reported to Regina Police Service.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous male, approximately 5' 10" tall with a slim build. He was wearing black pants, a black "Regina Riot" hoodie with "Defence" written in white on the front.

No injuries were reported.

This investigation is ongoing with the assistance of Yorkton General Investigation Section and Yorkton Forensic Identification Section.

Assist to Identify-Battleford Theft

Battleford RCMP are investigating an incident which occurred at approximately 12:30 pm on the afternoon of Wednesday July 11th, 2018.  A lone male was witnesses stealing items from a business on North Territorial Drive in North Battleford and confronted outside the store by an employee of the business.  The male is alleged to have threatened the employee with a knife before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.  No one was harmed during the altercation.
 
The male is described as being Caucasian, slim, average height,  balding with brown hair, in his 30s with a scruffy reddish brown beard and wearing an orange hoodie.

Cervus Equipment John Deere-Theft

At 0145hrs June 14, 2018 Cervus Equipment John Deere in Watrous had the padlock cut to their front compound and had $30,000 of equipment stolen: five ride-on lawn mowers, three chainsaws, a blower and a cordless trimmer. There were two men driving two pick-up trucks, one of which was towing an enclosed trailer. It is believed they used generic keys to start the ride on mowers and drive them into the trailer.

Turnor Lake Break & Enter

The Turnor Lake RCMP detachment are looking for assistance from the public regarding a recent break and enter to commit theft in the community.

On June 7th, 2018 early in the morning there was a break and enter to the Hamlet Office/Post Office. A window was broken to gain entry to the building and the suspect(s) left through the back door. The suspect(s) were surprised when the property representative arrived, and fled on foot. The suspect(s) left the primary item they attempted to steal behind and chose to run away on foot. 

 

Additionally, on June 5th 2018, a window to the front door of the Hamlet/Post Office was smashed once again in the early morning hours. The RCMP believe that the two incidents may be related.

Battlefords RCMP have been receiving complaints about STARS lottery scams where the callers are claiming to represent STARS Air Ambulance and telling people that they have won new vehicles, as well as cash prizes ranging from $30,000.00 to $175,000.00.  Everyone dreams of winning a big lottery prize.  Unfortunately the Fraudster are known to take advantage of this and will attempt to manipulate people by falsely claiming they have won an extravagant prize and asking them to send payment in order to claim their prize. 

To protect yourself, always keep these points in mind:

You will never be asked to send money to claim any lottery prize. If you are being asked to send a cheque, money order, or payment of any kind to claim your lottery prize, it is a scam. Hang up the phone or delete the email.
You can check with STARS directly to verify if you are a winner. You are able to check the official lottery winners list on their website or contact them to confirm if you have won a prize. Always use the official number and website, and not the ones a Fraudster may provide. In Saskatchewan you can call 1-855-449-2444, or email [email protected] to see if you have actually won a prize, you can also visit http:// starslotterysaskatchewan.ca/  to check the list of official prize winners.

Shooting Incident-North Battleford

At approximately 2:15 P.M on May 3rd, 2018 a third party witness saw an unidentified male exit a small silver SUV, point a short firearm at an unknown male on a bike and fire twice. It is not known if the victim was hit. This incident occurred at the intersection of 109th Street and 10th Ave in North Battleford.

After the shooting incident the suspect departed in the same SUV with the unidentified victim’s status and identity is not known.

Armed Robbery-Wadena Hotel

At approximately 2:40 a.m. on  Sunday, May 6th, 2018 two individuals entered the Wadena Hotel with their faces covered, armed with weapons.  The individuals involved were able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash and several packages of cigarettes.
 
No one was injured during the robbery.

Rural Thefts in Blaine Lake

In the early morning hours of June 28, 2018 a suspect attended multiple rural properties near Leask in the RM of Leask and stole gasoline and batteries from the farmyards.
 
The suspect vehicle is described as an early to mid 1990s GMC or Chevrolet 4x4 truck, dark blue or black in color with a "Z71" decal on the rear of the box.

Armed Robbery-Shell Lake, Sk.

On April 6, 2015 at approximately 1:00 A.M. a male entered the Shell Lake bar in Shell Lake, Sk. with his face covered and sunglasses on. The male produced a large knife and held the bar employee at knife point while he stole cash, liquor, and cigarettes. The male then restrained the bar employee and left the scene.
